What a great book. It is the story of a young privileged girl in 1915. Her family falls on troubled times, and they go through a lot of tough adjustments and suffer many personal losses. She falls in love with a man who would be considered "beneath her" and the book travels the course of their lives together. A very, very enjoyable book. *It already got snatched up for reading purposes!
*Once again, could my daughter be any cuter? Love her.
