You be the judge...

You're doing the laundry for your family.

You wash, dry, fold.

You find a $20.00 bill.

Keep it? Check to see who it might belong to?

Is there an over/under for ownership? Say, if I find $20.00, I'm keeping it but if it's over $20.00 I'll ask around?

Totally yours! Finders keepers. :)

The first, and most important part, is to not tell anyone you found such money. My mom always would tell us and we'd claim it. Bad move.

If Tessa has a part-time job and she's earning money, then if you think it's hers, give it to her.

Otherwise, any money she has came from you so it's yours anyway. Keep it.

If it's Brian's, keep it.

So 2/3 of the time you should keep it.

By all means, finders keepers! LOL! Thats my motto! That's how it works around here lol. I tell my kids, "This goes towards your rent and my fees to take care of you...your contribution to your room and board." LOL!
