Ohio State tops AP poll
New York, NY (Sports Network) - As the rash of upsets continued in college football this past Saturday, Ohio State has vaulted to the top of the latest Associated Press poll.
LSU and California both lost on Saturday, allowing the Buckeyes (7-0) to move up two spots to No. 1 -- a place the Big Ten powerhouse held all of last season until losing in the BCS Championship Game.
Ohio State didn't have to worry about an upset on Saturday, beating up on Kent State 48-3. The Buckeyes, however, will host Michigan State next week before the schedule really gets tough with a visit to Penn State and home games against Wisconsin and Illinois before the annual grudge match at Michigan.
