Enjoying the weather

Yesterday the guys working on our siding knocked out our cable. Time Warner can't get someone out until Friday to fix it. Brian refers to this as a "catastrophe." Tessa and Caroline don't seem to mind playing in the backyard to get a break from all the noise. Of course, there is construction debris everywhere so I keep yelling at them to watch out for nails and whatever else is out there. Caroline says it is "jangerous."

Our basement is finally done!

I told him we were going to build a cage in the backyard and get Brian out there. We're going to charge admission to recover some of our costs to fix the damage to our home.

So, we have termite damage

They came to start our new siding. As they tore the siding off they noticed that there were quite a few damaged areas of our home. We have quite a bit of old termite damage and also old water damage which caused a bit of rotting. There was an area that was so damaged it was the size of me and you could see our tub casing through it from the outside of the house! Our house is currently wrapped in tyvek wrap which Caroline calls "gift wrap." The windows are covered so it's kind of strange being on the inside.
