Pasta with Roasted Cherry Tomatoes

I made this for dinner yesterday and it was great! The only thing I would do differently is to cut back a bit on the bread crumbs and add a little more olive oil. I'm not known for my prowess in the kitchen so I was pleasantly surprised by this dish. I added the chicken and it was so good we are having the leftovers tonight!

More of this momma's drama...

So as I was leaving work Friday I got a call that Caroline fell off the monkey bars at school and her front tooth was knocked loose as well as having split her lip. They assured me she wasn't crying, but I sure was! I spoke with the dentist, made an appointment for Monday and went to get her. Knowing all the while that my heart was broken and I would do anything for her to make it better. So I picked her up and let me tell you, she knows how to milk it. "It" being me, or any situation she can turn around to her advantage. Yes, her tooth is loose and the lip looks pretty bad but she is fine. But she asked me to take her to McDonalds, since she hurt her tooth. And I did. And I took her to Old Navy and she got new jammies, tights, dresses and shoes. And then she mentioned the tooth fairy. Now, the tooth didn't fall out but she was so excited at the prospect of the tooth fairy that I knew I would comply, especially as she was being so brave. She also got to sleep in bed with us, since her tooth hurt. So around 9:30 I made the trek to Target to get a gift from the tooth fairy. Let me tell you, I know I made more fuss than need be but she was such a trooper and she was so excited about the tooth fairy! The look on her face when she woke up to a gift on the pillow from the tooth fairy was well worth it!

Driver's Ed

So, today Tessa and I were driving and another driver did something that really irritated me, and I made a comment one possibly should not make in front of a minor. Tessa asked me if they taught me that in drivers ed, to which I replied that no, they taught me that in life. Oops! Maybe I should just shell out the money for drivers ed versus make this a DIY project!

Naughty appetizers...

Last night was a FUN night. We had planned a girls night to watch the Sex and the City DVD. Our friend Trinette hosted and she went ALL OUT. She made a shoe chandelier, fab snacks and encouraged us to dress the part. (I unfortunately did not rise to the occasion, but my friend Adrienne nailed SJP's look. To a T. And I didn't get a picture. Because I am a loser. Adrienne, if you have a pic please let me post it, or can we just re-do it and I'll take a pic? Honestly, she looked AMAZING! The only photo I did take was of my appetizer I made. I made boob shaped cheese balls. Juvenile, maybe. Funny, yes. Thanks Trinette for making such a fun night for us!

W Hotels- Retail Sale!

If you've ever stayed at a W Hotel, you know it is quite the trendy and cool place to be, as are their hotel bars. What I like even more is their online store! And they are having a warehouse sale online! My experience with them is that this stuff goes fast so check it out sooner versus later. They have clothes, nick-knack-y items, accessories. If you use promo code L3DXM you will get an extra 20% off the clearance prices. Shop on!

Sugar plum fairy or Purple Passion?

I was trying to come up with a catchy title for my fun tights today and am torn between these two. Either way, IT'S FALL! And I loooove tights. Love tights. One of the best resources I've ever found is We Love Colors. The color selection and quality rock! Pricey, but well worth it. I'm not sure if the picture does them justice, but my tights and pumps today are a beautiful match!

So, regardless of being a Sugar Plum Fairy or my Purple Passion, I'm just happy for tights!

Hump Day

So, on Monday Brian asked me what I wanted to do this weekend. ON MONDAY! I can barely think about Tuesday let alone the weekend. When I mentioned this to him he told me that it had seemed like a long week already. Again, this was on MONDAY. So here we are mid week and like Brian, I am so ready for the weekend. Why? Well, three things are on my radar which I am pretty excited about.
1) Beverly Hills Chihuahua comes out. You can say I have no life, but I can't even watch the previews of this without laughing and I'm pretty excited to take the kids to see it.
2) Curious George is coming to Barnes and Noble. Now this one may or not be a hit. Last time I tried this it was with Clifford the Big Red Dog and Caroline was pretty quick to point out that it was just a costume character. She even had us sit at the bottom of the escalator at Barnes and Noble waiting to see him come back down in street clothes after he changed. I'm still looking forward to taking her.
3) Ohio State plays Wisconsin at Wisconsin. Yes, I am a Buckeye but how can you not love a school that gets everyone to participate in a Jump Around?
Other Wednesday news, my friend Athanasia had her third baby today. Finally a little boy! Congrats Athanasia and Jaime! And this one is for my sister-in-law Jessica:
Hey Jessica, supper's on. That's right, it's another Crock Pot day. Easy and yummy Honey Ribs.
