Field trip

Today was Caroline's field trip with daycare. They got to ride the bus and go strawberry picking. They tasted great! The farm is just up in Dublin and it was pretty neat.

Another one bites the dust

I've learned a lot over the last 24 hours. Warm water encourages dwarf frogs to mate. Hence yesterdays picture of the frog action. However, fish don't seem to fare as well in warmer waters. I may have gauged the water temperature incorrectly as we had a floater this morning. Thankfully Caroline hasn't noticed the missing fish. On a positive note we got to babysit our friend Adalynn tonight. She was perfect and we had a blast. Caroline wanted to feed her chicken. We settled on baby crackers.

Car washing and frog love

Talk about an exciting night! I decided to clean the fish and frog bowls. The fish have a car in their bowl so I had to wash that, and you can see what the frogs were up to when they got back into their own bowl. I think they like each other. The fish are Gwynnie and Benny and the frogs are Theo and Dan. (All named by Caroline after friends and a teacher from daycare)

Fingers crossed!

As of today, Tessa is done with finals. We are anxiously awaiting her grades and sophomore year. She is not amused when I ask her if she is feeling sophomoric. Come to think of it, she's not amused by much of anything I say...

A fashion statement...

I got to the daycare to pick up Caroline. It's never a good sign when you get there and your child is wearing a different outfit than the one you dropped them off in. It's usually a sign that you will be doing laundry that night. Caroline had an "accident" today and they put her in a pair of back up shorts. Rest assured, if she gets lost she will be returned to her daycare, Fundamentals, as they have clearly marked on the shorts. I'm not sure if this is intended to be free advertising or a way to make sure the shorts get returned to their rightful owner.

Soccer mom

Here is Caroline with her friend Stella at soccer. Brian says this makes him a soccer mom.

The fun never ends

So, on Friday I came home and went to take the trash out to our garage. I noticed that a limb from our tree had fallen and landed smack in the center of our glass topped patio table. (Except we don't have a patio. That is next years project.) I couldn't figure out what happened so I went to ask our neighbor Bob, because he knows everything! I guess there was a storm during the day and he heard a big "crack" and then our tree limb was on top of the table. Amazingly enough the glass didn't break.
